Past and Future

In her will, the late Mrs Nina Wang, Chinachem Group’s co-founder and owner, left her entire shareholding in the Group to charity.

Today, Chinachem Group is run by professional managers who are overseen by Court appointed Administrators. In May 2024, the Hong Kong High Court approved a scheme governing how Chinachem Group should be operated and managed under the charity’s trustee going forward. The scheme is in the process of being implemented. Once completed, the trustee will take over from the Administrators and oversee Chinachem Group.

Presently, all of Chinachem Group’s profits are reinvested back into our businesses. In accordance with Mrs Wang’s wishes, once the scheme is implemented, a portion of our profits will be channelled to the charity to help it fund its charitable aims and objectives. The remainder will be re-invested into our businesses to enable us to continue to grow, prosper and continue to benefit the communities in which we operate.
