Chinachem Cultivates a Culture of Save and Share
20 July 2017
Creating a better living environment by reducing food waste is one of Chinachem's aim. With this in mind, 13 commercial buildings under Chinachem managed by Sources Fame Management Limited and Together Management Company Limited have registered as food donors of FOOD-CO, the first food support and sharing platform in Hong Kong established by St. James' Settlement. This is the second collaboration between Chinachem and St. James' Settlement People's Food Bank, after Chinachem Eco-walk in February this year.
The participating 13 buildings include NO. 1 Hung To Road, Chevalier Commercial Centre, Chinachem Tower, Chinachem Golden Plaza, Two Chinachem Plaza, Chinachem Hollywood Centre, Two Chinachem Exchange Square, Chinachem Leighton Plaza, Chinachem Exchange Square, Chinachem Century Tower, Chinachem Johnston Plaza, The Chinese Banking Building and Victoria Garden.
Being the first IT platform for food support service in Hong Kong, FOOD-CO connects food banks and donors. Through technology and data analysis, the platform which aims at facilitating food donation in a more efficient and effective way, works with like-minded partners to solicit resources to help poverty alleviation.
