Chinachem Properties Win Platinum Award of Charter on External Lighting
11 July 2018
In support of the Charter on External Lighting, Chinachem and its properties have religiously switched off external lights between 11 pm and 7 am since the Charter was launched in 2016. Chinachem properties that have taken part in the initiative include The Lily, L'hotel Nina et Convention Centre, L'hotel Island South, L'hotel Causeway Bay Harbour View, L'hotel elan, Lodgewood by L'hotel Mongkok and Lodgewood by L'hotel Wanchai.
In acknowledgment of Chinachem's support for the Charter, which invites building owners to switch off decorative, promotional or advertising lighting installations during preset times, the Environment Bureau once again conferred on Chinachem the Platinum Award on External Lighting. Chinachem's active participation in this initiative rests on the company's commitment to channel its corporate social responsibility into actions that benefit the public. By supporting the Charter on External Lighting, Chinachem helps provide the public with a more conducive sleep environment, lowers light pollution and minimises energy wastage.
