Overseas travel might still be a challenge, but for the second year running Chinachem Group (“the Group”) is collaborating with the ever-popular French May Arts Festival and French GourMay to help Hong Kong residents sample some of the finest French food and culture on their own doorstep. After launching two of this year’s French May events last week at Central Market, the Group is now bringing them to NINA MALL in Tsuen Wan, so that New Territories residents can enjoy the same exciting experience.
NINA MALL will host a four-day French Traditional Gourmet Market from today (26 May) until Sunday (29 May) and a fascinating interactive digital art installation titled Intraverse from now until 30 June. The Gourmet Market was officially opened this afternoon by Consul-General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, Alexandre Giorgini and the Group’s Director of Leasing, Yvonne Lau, who then invited guests to explore some of the culinary delights on offer and try their hands on interacting with Intraverse.
The French Traditional Gourmet Market at NINA MALL 1’s Atrium features 12 pop-up stalls selling a wide range of French products including cheeses, desserts and wine. Enhancing the Gallic atmosphere is a model of the iconic Eiffel Tower, offering shoppers the chance to take happy snaps with their friends and families next to this famous Parisian landmark, along with a photobooth showcasing the celebrated Cotes du Rhône wine region.
After their busy shopping trip, visitors can also relax and enjoy a range of French fare at Nina Patisserie or Café Circles in the adjoining Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West, including afternoon tea, desserts and selected French wines.
